Studio cancellation rules
Awaiting confirmation
- [TO BE CONFIRMED] Cancellation notice, late-cancellation fee, no-show charge, lateness rules, and the process and remedy where the studio cancels: Chantal to supply.
Dated classes and cooling-off rights
The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 generally provide cancellation rights for many distance service contracts. However, regulation 28(1)(h) excludes services related to leisure activities where the contract specifies a date or period of performance. A booked Pilates class on a particular date may fall within that exemption.
Undated class packs, courses and vouchers require separate assessment. Do not assume that the dated-class exemption applies to them. Where a 14-day right does apply and a service is requested to begin during that period, the legal rules about express requests, proportionate charges and acknowledgement of loss of the right must be followed. This draft does not assert that the studio has captured those permissions.
Class packs and unused sessions
Awaiting confirmation
- [TO BE CONFIRMED] Pack expiry, refunds for unused sessions, transferability and treatment of studio-cancelled sessions: Chantal to supply.
Statutory remedies
Services must be performed with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Depending on the circumstances, statutory remedies can include repeat performance or a price reduction. Business cancellation policies cannot remove statutory rights. Please obtain legal review of the final terms.
